Who is responsible
Julian Caspari, in Perth, Western Australia, is responsible for this website and for any personal information handled in connection with it. A personal website like this one sits below the reach of Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which binds businesses above A$3 million in turnover — but this page is written to the standard of the Australian Privacy Principles anyway, because visitors deserve the clarity either way. Hosting and server logs
This site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser automatically transmits technical information — your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. Cloudflare processes this information to deliver the pages and to keep the site secure and available. Cloudflare is a United States company, so this technical information is processed overseas; its privacy policy is at www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
I do not collect or read visitor logs myself, and nothing on this site records who visits. The hosting keeps brief technical logs of its own, held for a few days for security and troubleshooting, and that is all.
No cookies, no tracking, no third parties
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The typefaces are stored on this site’s own server, so your visit is not reported to Google or any other font provider, and nothing on any page loads from anyone else’s servers.
If you email me
If you write to julian@caspari.io, your email address and message are used only to handle the correspondence, and deleted once they are no longer needed.
Links to other sites
Where this site links elsewhere — for example to LinkedIn — the privacy rules of that site apply from the moment you arrive there.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information I hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted — the Australian Privacy Principles call these access and correction, and I honour them whether or not the law formally requires it of a personal site. If you believe your privacy has been mishandled and an email to me does not resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. Given what you have just read, there is very little data any of this could apply to — but the rights are yours regardless.
